Music Players – Top searched apps on Google Play. What really matters when
choosing a player for your phone or tablet? - Software or hardware or both.
It is definitely a good hardware which makes difference in the sound quality. Some cheap quality phones are available in the market for give away prices. Many have cheap quality hardware which cannot deliver quality sound though a good player is installed. But a good player always performs better than the default player provided with the phone. However, many will never be satisfied with the stock player and always look for something better.
Almost all players come with several equalizer settings and tweaks to modulate the sound. However, I personally feel tweaks will spoil the originality of the music and suppress many sounds and delivers recessed output (I am not sure about the custom equalizer though). If you are really an expert in equalizer settings and can judge the difference between clear audio and amplified audio then definitely you can tweak the custom equalizers to enjoy best from it.
There are several good players in the Android Market like Power Amp, N7 player, Denon music player, Jet Audio, Neutron etc. I felt, Neutron gave amazing results comparatively. It comes with custom equalizer and 32/64-bit audio rendering engine and few tweaks. Neutron gave me a satisfactory result and sounds still better if you can tweak the equalizer according the headphones you use.
Though the Neutron player is good, it carries some flaws as well. The UI does not look that attractive and the player hangs when your phone is over loaded. Try the trial version and upgrade it to pro if you are satisfied.

Have you an Idea ?

I never tried any USB DACs. So, I cannot answer your question.
As per my knowledge, Neutron is an Android Music Player. You can install it in any android devices and you can just use it as a normal player.
Are you asking for settings you could configure for USB DAC?
Please do let me know.
